********NOMINATIONS CLOSE ON THE 30TH JUNE 2016********

As many of you know, I was brought up in a large household with several Uncles and an Auntie. I was very close to my Aunt Gwen, and we spent a lot of time together watching old films, eating cough candy twists and listening to old music. She really was an idol to me.

Now my Aunt Gwen was never one to shy away from asking or doing what she wanted. “If You Don’t Ask, You Don’t Get” was something she used to say frequently. But that really has never been my style.

Whilst I get it in principle, I genuinely don’t like asking for things. Favours, products to review, I even hate asking for help. I am as stubborn as they come, and in many ways would rather go without.

However, there is something I would really love, and this time, I am going to ask for it.

So… here goes!

The nominations for the Plus Size Awards have just gone live. Held on the 19th November in London, the red carpet affair will be the highlight of the Plus Size Year.

Having followed the event last year, whilst my blog was still very young, I lusted over the glamorous dresses, the red carpet, the getting together of all the bloggers, some friends and some I admire from afar.

This year I would love to be a part of the celebration of everything Plus Size.

So, how do I (and you) make that happen? By nominating my little blog under the ‘Best New Blogger’ category.

I have been blogging for just over a year, and it has literally changed my life. I have had adventures, met some amazing people, modelled, travelled to Europe and generally chatted about my life, my style, my family and my activities.

I have been to Plus Size Events, which before last year, I never knew existed. I have chatted with hundreds of people just like me, shared tales, giggles and a few drinks.

It truly would be an honour to get nominated, and whilst I don’t have a cat in hell’s chance of actually winning, it would be amazing to get to go this amazing red carpet event.

I already have 5 full length velvet gowns in my wardrobe, with nowhere to wear them! What better reason to nominate me?!?!
