Following on from the success of my Lindybop nautical top and culottes, I started having a look around for a few more nautical accessories to mix my look up with.

Browsing through Etsy is always fatal and this was totally proven when I stumbled across this little gem from GlitterPunkjewellery

I just loved everything about this necklace. The glitter, the dangling anchor, the phrase. It just all called to me!

I knew I had to add it to my jewellery box.

Having a look around the lovely items that GlitterPunk has to offer, I spotted the matching earrings. Well, it would be silly not to get the set?

I duly ordered and waited for the items to arrive. I had a lovely message from the jewellery maker, Sarah to make sure I was happy with my order (which of course I was) and she let me know how long it would take to make, and be delivered.

A few days later, a package arrived on my doorstep and I eagerly opened it.

Inside was the loveliest package I have yet had arrive. Each packet was wrapped in lovely pink and white wrapping finished off with GlitterPunk stickers.

There was also a really nice handwritten card from Sarah with some instructions to take care of the set. I thought this was a lovely touch, very personal indeed!

Inside the wrapped packaged were two gift boxes. Each of these gift boxes contained the items I had ordered, and were wrapped in matching tissue paper, on a bed of cotton wadding for protection. I was really impressed with the amount of packaging, and the prettiness of it all.

I eagerly opened the smaller one first. The sheer glitteryness of the acrylic was amazing. A red so deep that it just shone, and the sparkle really came alive when it hit the light. These earrings are relatively small, yet were so glittery, that it made me really excited to see what the necklace looked like!

Anchors Away

Opening the larger box I was blown away. I hadn’t checked the dimensions of the necklace as I loved it and wanted it. However it was a much larger piece than I had realised. And I was REALLY happy about it! It has turned a cute little necklace into a real statement piece.

And the shine… Oh how it glistens!

The necklace comes on a lovely silver chain, and the clasp features as clear acrylic round disc with the brand logo embossed on it. My favourite part is the dangling anchor. It is so quirky and cute that I know it will get a lot of looks and comments.

Finishing Touches

This is an absolutely perfect match for my nautical top and culottes, however I think it will look perfect with my Voodoo Vixen Joni dress that I reviewed earlier in the year. The navy, white and red will be a perfect combination and suits the theme totally!

I debuted the necklace on a recent trip to London to visit the “Caught By The River Thames” I teamed it up with my nautical culottes, a red vest top and some navy “converse” style shoes. I bundled all my picnic belongings in my huge wicker bag and away we went.

London Bound

We had an amazing day by the River, sunbathing, drinking Pimms and generally relaxing. A perfect English summers day.

I had taken the necklace off at this point as I didn’t want a “Hello Sailor” suntan mark!

I am so pleased with my purchase and I am sure it won’t be the last item that I order from the lovely Sarah. Her products really are great quality and so quirky.

My set even came on my travels to Budapest, and actually got a few comments of their own!

Again teamed up with my nautical culottes and t-shirt, I wore it whilst travelling. It was a talking point for a few people.

So far, this really has become quite a staple in my accessory box. It is so eye-catching and I love to wear it.

I thought I would show you a few of my other favourite pieces that GlitterPunk has on Etsy at the moment – That Unicorn is just divine, and I love the separate bone on the Dachshund’s chain!

She also makes bespoke name necklaces in different scripts, and I think one of those will have to pop in my basket soon! These come in 36 different colours, and a choice of 3 different chain colours. It will probably take me hours to choose which colour I want!
