Well this year we decided as a family that we wouldn’t be buying lots of knick-knacks 0r physical presents. This is mainly due to all being adults, with full time jobs (apart from Little Chick, the feckless student) and are quite capable of buying whatever we want or need during the year.
However, this leave the conundrum of what exactly to buy each other. We decided that activities or adventures were the way ahead!
Instead of that box of bathroom bubbles, why not a ticket to the local theatre? Rather than a bottle of wine, a visit to a UK vineyard. Zoo’s, Theatres, Concerts, Gardens and Parks are all out there ready to explore with a little imagination.
However, this leaves me with a lack of pretties to expect when the big day comes. So, I thought I would come up with a last minute list in case Santa thinks I have been a super special girl this year and wants to treat me.
These are the articles I would ask for if money was no object and I could ask for anything I fancied.
No1 – Top of my list would be an original Vintage Lucite handbag. Preferably in white/clear so that it went with all of my outfits. Now these aren’t cheap; You can find them around the £150+ mark. But they are simply beautiful.
No2 – Splendette Stacking Bangles are just stunning. I would eventually like to get a mix of all the colours they sell so I can match/compliment all of my outfits. This stack is only £32, and their individual bracelets start at £4 so very reasonable, I just want about 40 different ones!
No3 – Tiffany Paloma Picasso “Love Ring” I have been lusting over this ring for quite awhile now. I just love the simplistic lines, and I think £160 is a fantastic price for a piece of Tiffany Jewellery.
No4 – Lola Ramona Boatie Bag. I first saw this at LondonEdge last September and I just fell in love with the unusual design, and the colours. I have so many outfits that this would go with, and it is a real talking point. It is a little more than the bags I would purchase for everyday use, which is why it is ideal as a Christmas present at £55.
No5 Pin Up Girl Clothing Doris Wide Leg Trousers in 4XL. Now, being a plus size girl there is a real shortage of vintage style wide leg trousers. I know of one or two companies that do them up to a 22 but not any bigger. These trousers look amazing and teamed up with the Malia Top I think it is a fantastic outfit for the winter seasion. For the whole outfit you are looking at approximately £166 (plus post, import and VAT)
No6 – Pin Up Girl Clothing Erika Dress The first dress I ever bought myself from PUG was the Evelyn dress, which is the swing version of the Erika. It remains one of my firm favourites that gets a lot of wear, and I would love to try out the wiggle dress version. This has a lovely spring like pattern, and I can imagine keeping it in my wardrobe until the first day of Spring and then wearing it a LOT! This works out at £97 again with post, import and VAT.
No7 – Lindybop Christie Dress. This is such a cute winter print, that isn’t too Christmassy, so could be worn right through till spring. I love the blue colour, and the off the shoulder style makes it a little dressier than some of the winter offerings. It is only £34 too! A bit of a bargain.
No8 – Now, this is the most impractical present ever. Over recent months you may have noticed my addiction to Lush products. This is their super jumbo box of everything called Wow. At £170 it may seem like a huge expense but there are 37 items in this box of wonder. Everything from body conditioner to lip scrub to bath bombs. Pretty amazing in my eyes.
No9 – Looking on the cheaper side of things, I am a real lover of Make Up Academy products, especially their Lip Lacquers. The have a really great range out at the moment, with these sets of five lacquers going for only £15. I would quite like a set of each, but my favourite has to be the “Every Occasion” which has some of my favourite shades in.
No10 – Well lastly I can’t help but come up with a range of CD’s that I would like to add to my collection. I am an amazing music buff and even go to sleep listening to something. I love Spotify and Jango Radio, but you can’t beat opening up a CD that you have been waiting to listen to. These CD’s range in price from £4.82 to £9.99 so are great for any budget.
Rick Astley – 50 £9.99
Jools Holland – Small World Big Band 3 £5.47
The Ultimate Classic FM Hall of Fame £9.99
Ella Fitzgerald – Night and Day £4.82
Steven Tyler – Somebody from Somewhere £7.62
Ward Thomas – Cartwheels £7.99
Last minute super late addition – mainly as I have only just seen it on another blog and fallen in love!
I am a huge cheese fiend. Melted, fried, straight off the block, oven-baked, you name it and I will eat it. If I had to give up every other food and only be allowed one thing, it would be cheese! Therefore this necklace is absolutely perfect!
Tatty Devine Cheese Bunting Necklace at £ 40 it’s a bargain!
So there you have it; a last minute list for this lady. Fingers crossed Santa brings me some of these goodies.
Till Next time,
Txx
