Now I am a bit late joining the CowCow brigade, but it is better late than never!
Over the summer I saw lots of posts about a brand called CowCow who had the most amazing dresses with bonkers and bizarre prints. Lots of my favourite bloggers dived into the pool and were wearing these gorgeous dresses with everything from dinosaurs to galaxies on them. But I never got round to joining them.
Until now.
I was looking on Amazon for some Christmas presents when a CowCow skater dress caught my eye. It was grey and covered in huge carousel horses and I immediately wanted it.
Going onto the page I was immediately stuck. This lovely dress came in no less than eleven different colours ranging from mint to mocha. I didn’t know which one to go for and debated for quite awhile. It was then that I thought about my accessories and what I had that I would wear with the dress.
With this in mind, I decided to go for the light blue dress which has pink, red and aqua shades in the horse. I immediately put in an order and waited for it’s arrival.
The dress came three of four days later, and I was impressed. Now, these dresses are quite a budget buy. I paid £10.99 for my 3XL and the 5XL is only £14.99.
Cowcow have a wide range of clothing, from leggings to bat-wing tops, bikini’s to maxi dresses and all at similar price points.
The dress itself is made from quite a stretchy shiny material, and is 90% polyester and 10% Lycra. This makes for a very lightweight and cool dress.
I was actually really impressed with the quality of the dress. The skirt had numerous gathered sections which meant the skirt had a really good “fall” to it. It didn’t cling to my body, but floated around it. The top section clung to my chest, but the skirt actually flattered my waist and bottom with its draping effect.
Whilst I am not normally a fan of spandex type clothing, I think this works really well, and the print is just amazing. In fact, I have just the right handbag to go with it!
I love how this dress sits on me. Being only 5ft4 it is on the longer side than what I have seen on some other bloggers, but this works well for me, as I don’t want to wear it with leggings, a pair of natural tights and some ballet flats will be perfect.
For me this dress is a great little number for a great little price. I wouldn’t wear it out to a posh dinner or a special occasion like I do my heavier cotton type dresses, but for a quick and easy wear, especially in the warmer months I think it is perfect.
Are you a CowCow fan? Do you like the print on this dress? Would you wear it yourself?
Till next time
