Just the sound of the word makes me think of wonderful beautiful things. And you would be totally right there!
For those ladies of a vintage persuasion, it is well know that bangles are worn in a stack.
Eh? What do I mean by a stack of bangles?
Well, it is not uncommon to get a large collection of bangles in every colour known to man, and to mix and match them with your favourite vintage outfit.
One of my favourite vintage lovelies, Miss Victory Violet has a bangle collection that even the most ardent of collectors would envy.
Bangles Galore
Every colour, style and thickness is covered, and a minimum of 3 bangles are worn on a wrist, but more usually 5 are worn.
Miss Victory Violet has also just released a collection via Splendette which is just glorious!!
Now, I owned literally zero bangles. I was aware that I needed to up my game, but equally aware that it can become an expensive business getting bangles to match everything. Even though they start at £4.00, they soon mount up when you have a dozen in your basket.
So I was more than happy to receive the beautiful Red diamante bangle by Splendette from a beloved friend for my recent birthday.
This led me to purchasing quite a few more with money I received for my birthday.
My First Splendette Bangle
When the box arrived 4 days after ordering my selections, I was over the moon. I had ordered 10 different bangles in various colours.
Arrival Day
Now Splendette have a great selection of colours and styles, and even offer Maiden bangles (for the small wristed) and Duchess bangles (for the larger lady) however these are only in limited styles.
I ordered mini, midi and large bangles, in diamante, glitter and plain and I couldn’t have been happier.
All the Pretties
My collection had now started. Teal, Red, Green, Black, Butterscotch all ended up in my basket and arrived in perfect condition and I loved them all.
Such a rainbow of colours
My first outing out was to wear two butterscotch, two teal and a black to go with my well loved Pin Up Girl Clothing “Alice in Wonderland” dress, and it simply set the whole outfit off.
I just need to work out how I am now going to store these, and also how many other colour combinations I can make.
