As you probably know I have been sharing the photographs from my marvellous shoot with Velvet D’Amour that took place at the stunning Sugnall Hall.
So far they have been soft, womanly, curvaceous and smiling.
Now for the fierceness…
I love this dress so much that I knew I wanted it to be worn for some of the shots. When Velvet suggested standing in the corner, hands on hips in a power pose, I genuinely didn’t think I could carry it off!
However the end result blew me away.
I am not someone who has a natural smile. I have a very narrow upper lip and down turned corners. This means that if I am not full on smiling, I look a little grumpy.
Resting bitch face? No, more like resting miserable face.
Coupled with the gap in my teeth, I always struggle to know what to do with my mouth. If I don’t smile I look stern, if I smile my lips disappear and my eyes crinkle up. I am not too keen on the gap so I do try to hide it. This means that some of my poses look like I am gurning.
However this strong stance lends itself to the dominant face.
This is someone I aspire to be in real life!
With this second shot, I am in the same dress. But it is a lot softer and womanly. I still have a neutral face, however the pose is rounded and Rubenesque. My Tattoo is vibrant as is my eye shadow.
The pose is more shy and retiring that the fierce pose, yet I love it equally.
What do you think? Which is your favourite? I would love to hear your opinion!
Till next time
