So you may have already seen my post about the gorgeous Goldwyn dress by Unique Vintage. If not, you can catch up on it here.
The other dress that I had seen a lot of over the Festive period on such wonderful ladies as Leanda (a bad ass body posi coach) of ‘Just Eat The Doughnut‘ and my Blogger Wifie, Boo of ‘Does my blog make me look fat?’ had rocked this beautiful embroidered midi dress from ASOS design Curve.
And I loved it!
Now, it wasn’t a dress I would normally have popped in the shopping basket, but seeing how great it looked on a variety of heights and dress sizes made me want to give it a go.
And I am so pleased that I did.
Leanda, a tallish 5ft7 ordered this dress in a 24. Talking to her about it, she agreed that it had a generous cut and she could have gone for a 22.
I am only 5ft2 and usually waver between a 24-26. However Boo had said that the top part was quite snug for those with larger breasts and that I might want to size up.
I managed to order the last size 26 and paid for next day delivery. It actually arrived around 130pm on Sunday afternoon which I was especially pleased with.
So, how did I fare with the dress?
Amazingly well, I have to admit. The 26 was a perfect fit for me and it was so flattering to wear. Without sounding too vain, the dress was almost like it was made to measure and I honestly felt that it looked like I had dropped a few dress sizes – obviously please feel free to point out I might be wrong on that one.
The pleats hung well and the material was light and breezy. I again teamed it up with my Pandora Essence collier necklace and Irregular Choice shoes. (sadly now out of stock with IC)
I literally feel amazing in this dress. I now need an occasion to wear it out properly.
The amazing Leanda has suggested we meet up wearing the same dress and tell anyone who asks that we are twins…..
I have begged her to so make it happen! Especially if we can convince Boo too!
Triple Threat.
So, what do you think to the dress? Is it your cup of tea?
Till next time,
SPSG xx
