As many of you know, a couple of years ago I wrote a post about 50 things I wanted to achieve before I am 50 years old in 2024; some of them long term goals.
I wrote an update in November 2108 which you can see here and also a previous one in July 2017, also available here.
However, I have yet again managed to tick a few more things off the list!
They aren’t written in any kind of order, just a random numbering and my aim is to complete them all in the next seven years. I will hopefully be doing updates as I go along, ticking off the things I have achieved and if there are things that are totally impossible (for health or safety reasons) then I will have a re-think and substitute them.

So far I have managed 23 of these, with several more in the pipeline. And I still have 5 years to go! Totally on target.
The most recent ones that have been accomplished are the ones below. Definitely watch this space for some new adventures to come though!
4. Have a cocktail night – This happen a few days before Christmas at the Besties house and we worked our way through several including a Golden Russian, Queen Mother, Monkey Gland, Long Island Ice Tea to name but a few. I may have ended up very inebriated!
6. Go to a Burlesque Performace – Well it doesn’t get much better than seeing Dita Von Teese at The Palladium, which happened in November 2018. Oh what a night and what a woman!
15. Host a McMillan Fundraising event – This took place earlier in the year and I had previously missed it off the list! My friend Jane makes hats and together we put on an auction of her Millinery and raised a few hundred pound. It was hard work, but so worth it.
19. Hit 8K Views on my blog in a month. This one was especially difficult as I had been promoted and not able to put as much hard work and dedication into my blog as before. However I was over the moon to achieve this during 30 days over November and December 2018.
20. Volunteer for Charity – A few months back I started volunteering for the Talking Newspaper for the Blind. Every few weeks I head to the studio and spend around an hour being recorded reading articles from the local newspapers. These are then sent out to around 150 blind and limited sight listeners in our area.
24. Go to a concert at The Royal Albert Hall – This was accomplished in mid December 2018 when we went to see ‘4U’ A symphonic performance of the works of Prince. You can read about the adventure here and even see a few videos. It was a night to remember.
43. Take the Family to Twinwood – This happened in August 2018 when the hubby, daughter, Mum in Law, Sister in Law, Boo and some close friends came for the whole weekend. Much merriment was had and we caught up with a lot of old friends and made some new ones. They enjoyed it that much, that they have all booked again for 2019!
Till next time,
SPSG xx
