I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Lynsey Le Keux at LondonEdge a few years ago. Standing at the trade fair with her equally lovely sister Diablo Rose we had a lovely natter about the wonderful vintage style make-up products that Le Keux offered.
Since then I have lusted after one or two of the products and have got my mitts on some gorgeous peach keen lip and cheek paint and two lipsticks, Diablo Rose and Whistle Bait. And I absolutely loved them.
I have to say that Lynsey has some of the cutest packaging from any of the cosmetic companies. Little pink and blue faceted jars with complementing lids, cardboard containers with cute designs and photographs of some of their models.
I loved everything about it.
They looked absolutely perfect on a dressing table and always got noticed when using them in the ladies restrooms.
Now this brings me to the point of this post.
Last week I attended LondonEdge 2019 to look at all the latest fashion launches and new products. I was so pleased to see that Le Keux were exhibiting and took a wander round to find them.
Lynsey looked as beautiful as ever and we got chatting. I noticed a different product that intrigued me; The Every Cream. Looking at the packaging, I saw it stated that it was a make-up remover, cleanser AND moisturiser in one.
Really?!?
Now even though I am 44, I have a crap beauty regime. Don’t get me wrong, I start off with the best of intentions. If I emptied out mt cosmetic drawers, I could probably find a dozen jars and bottles of moisturiser, toner and such like.
I manage to put it on for several days and then I miss a day, or two, or ten. Then that is my regime down the Swanee.
I guess it is because I don’t have a standard time for bed, or a regular plan and this is why I forget. Consequently my skin goes through times where it is ok and other times where it is as dry as the Sahara.
To be honest, if I manage to swipe a wet wipe over my face to get the make-up removed, then my face feels like its birthday and Christmas have come all at the same time!
If I am honest, it is drier more often than it is ok. And it is NEVER soft and silky.
Anyway, I asked Lynsey about the cream and she took a pot down, then put Le Keux black Cadillac eyeliner and Whistle Bait red lipstick on the back of her hand.
Taking a small blob of Every Cream, she rubbed it all over the cosmetics before taking a cotton pad and wiping across it.
And it simply vanished.
Better yet, the back of her hand felt fantastic.
Lynsey very gracious offered me a pot to try out and I promised I would let her know what I thought.
I left LondonEdge and got home around 10 o’clock. Well, I thought to myself that there was no better time to give it a go.
I duly dabbed a little over my face. Now don’t get me wrong, this product is NOT just for Le Keux cosmetic removal. In fact I was wearing MAC lipstick and foundation, NYX mascara, eyeliner, brow liner and assorted face powders and highlighters from brands such as Maybelline and Revolution.
I rubbed the cream all over my face and got a bunch of cotton pads to wipe it off. To my surprise every single trace came off easily and with no irritation.
Off I went to sleep and didn’t think anything more about it…..
Until the next morning when I got up, showered and went to start my make-up routine and felt my face. It was a soft as a baby’s bottom, literally. It was softer and smoother than it had been in years and the dry rough nose area felt silky.
I sent Lynsey a message straight away.
OMG!!!!! was all I said.
She responded with ‘Do you like it then’.
Like is a poor word to use in this instance. I have now used the cream for three nights to remove my make-up and moisturise at the same time.
And each day makes my skin better and better. I am literally astounded as to how good this product it.
Capping it all off with the fact that it retails for only £8.95, I know that when I get almost to the end of the pot, I will be ordering some more. This stuff has performed miracles on my dry skin and I have never, ever felt my skin feel this good, even when I was in my twenties.
I would seriously recommend this as a make-up remover, let alone the moisturising properties which are spectacular.
You won’t go far wrong if you give it a go. I know that this has certainly improved my skin in even a short space of time, and as it is an ‘all in one’ the routine won’t go to pot as using a wet wipe would take the same amount of time with a less satisfying result.
Thank you Lynsey, I really am amazed at your Cream and you can be assured I will be getting more of it! I think my skin would revolt if I stopped using it.
Till next time
