For many years Miss Candyfloss has produced some of the most wonderful vintage style outfits. Design classics with a little touch of flair here and there.

And I loved everything they produced.
But…. They never made their outfits large enough for me and so I just looked and lusted at them. And let me tell you, I lusted a lot!
Green With Envy
Until recently that is when I saw a very good friend, Carrie-Ann from Something definitely happened wearing a gorgeous Dior inspired outfit from Miss Candyfloss.

To say I fell in love is an understatement. She looked sublime and it made me have another look at the brand. To my surprise I saw they were selling some lines through Unique Vintage, who I had recently purchased the stunning Goldwyn dress from.

The Miss Candyfloss dress was called Delphine and she was delightful!
So, what was the sizing chart like?
I was quite surprised to see that they were now starting to make some of their dresses in a 5XL which has measurements of bust 48-52, waist 42.5 – 45 and hips of 52.5 – 55!
This meant it would actually fit me. I was so excited at the prospect, now I just needed to wait for payday as the dress retailed at £115 and then there was postage from America (and duty etc)
Fast forward a couple of weeks and the blogger bestie, Boo came and asked my opinion on a dress she had just bought from Voluptuous Vintage, a lovely shop based in Gosport, Hampshire.
She sent me a picture and there she was, wearing the Miss Candyfloss Delphine Dress.
Sadly she was unsure about the dress as it was quite loose and baggy on her and would take quite a bit of alteration.
I asked about where she had purchased it from and found out that Voluptuous Vintage had them in stock. Well, all apart from the size I needed.

Now, as strange it may sound, Boo and I have several of the same dresses. We just always collaborate if we are meeting up to make sure we don’t wear the same thing!
Boo really wasn’t keen on the fit of the dress and decided she was going to send it back. Of course I asked the simple question –
‘Do you think it would fit me?’
It Certainly Did!
Boo thought it would as it was very roomy and also had some stretch to it. She offered to post it to me to try and if it didn’t fit, I could send it back to Voluptuous Vintage on her behalf.
Well, it sounded like a perfect plan and that is what we did.
Divine Dephine
The dress arrived in a couple of days and I was so excited to try it.
I was ecstatic to find that it fit like it was made to measure AND it was in the sale at only £75. Bargain!
I adore Delphine
I felt like a vintage lady in the dress and started to work out what I would wear with it. I had a perfect black saucer hat, shoes and bag. I managed to get a beautiful pair of vintage gloves and ordered this spectacular floral beauty from Shazam Hair Flowers which I intend to wear around the hat.
Shazam!
Coupled with red jewellery, complimenting bangles from Bow and Crossbones and a vintage handbag, I think I am all ready to go!
Red and Black
I literally was so happy to get this dress. It rings all the bells for me and also feels great when worn. Comfortable yet classic.
Dining in Delphine
Sadly Voluptuous Vintage have sold out of all the sizes in this dress, however Unique Vintage still have stock if you fancy it. It is also now on sale for £85.00.
Fresh Hair and Little Shop of Gorgeousness and Fripperies hat!
The quality is so high that even with import duties etc it is a snip at half the price. I highly recommend it and have worn it so many times already!
