There are always hundreds of adverts on Facebook for a clothing company called SHEIN.
Every time I go on there, I see yet another advert with the prettiest dresses and outfits on it. And I wonder what the quality and fit is like.
I clearly am not the only one as I constantly see posts from people in loads of groups asking the perennial question…
‘Has anyone bought anything from Shein and what was the quality and sizing like?’
It has seriously been asked so often that people are complaining on posts about it.
Although it wasn’t a question I had asked, I was a bit dubious about the company as I expected they may be a bit like Rosegal and the many other companies like it than can be very hit and miss.
After my successful first purchases from Rosegal which I wrote about here I saw a dress on the Facebook advert that I really fell in love with.
It was a beautiful botanical paisley print in blues and greens and I just wanted it. Now, I have to admit I was a little reserved. Whilst it wasn’t that expensive, did I want to run the risk especially when I hadn’t seen anyone review them.
After two weeks of seeing the same advert, I decided to go and have a look and see if they had the dress in my size.
Not only did they have it my size, they had it in sizes 18, 20, 22 and 24. I ordered the size 24 and it was an amazing price too; £17.99.
As it was my first order I got a discount of £4.80. By the time I had paid postage my grand total came to £18.18. Not a bad price, now to see if the quality and product was any good.
It took around 10 days for it to arrive and I was really keen to see it. Eagerly opening the bag I was very surprised.
The dress was made of a lovely lightweight cotton type material. The print was as stunning as the picture showed and it was much better quality than I ever expected.
I couldn’t wait to try it on, after all this would be when it really showed if it was any good.
This was when I was really su
It fit like it had been made to measure. Every part fitted perfectly. The length was spot on and it was so very comfortable and light to wear.
I instantly fell in love with it and have to say I couldn’t wait to wear it.
A couple of days later it was my birthday and we were having a family meal. Even thought it was at home, I wanted to wear something nice and this seemed like the perfect choice.
Putting it on, I actually felt really great in it. I loved the colouring and how it complemented my colouring, especially my hair.
It was a great dress to wear, smart yet cool and I really rate it.
It has been washed now and it will be interesting to see if there has been any shrinkage. I hope not as I love the dress and plan to wear it a lot over these hot summer days.
So, what do you think? Was it a good purchase? Have you bought anything from Shein? How did you fare?
Till next time
