A few weeks ago I did a wishlist post of things that I would love for a recent holiday. Most of these were shoes and clothes for a lightweight comfortable City break but I had come across a fantastic jewellery company with a huge range of personalised products.
I don’t actually wear a great deal of jewellery as such. I have 3 rings that I wear constantly, but the rest of the jewellery consists of vintage style bangles, beads and pearls.
Two of those rings are like rosaries to me; One is a double Tiffany ring that I twist around my thumb when I am stressed. The second is a silver wide ring with a thin silver ring running around it. Again I twist the smaller ring when I am worried or anxious. It becomes a bit of a habit, but one I cannot do without.
They ground me and make everything right.
I then wrote a post talking about a clothing and jewellery wishlist that I wanted for an up and coming holiday. I included a couple of items from Onecklace.
So, I was absolutely thrilled when a lovely lady called Donna from the company got in touch and offered to send me a couple of things from their immense range.
As I had already fallen in love with the monogrammed necklace and a two name bracelet it was obvious what I was going to choose.
This stunning monogrammed necklace with 3 initials was so pretty that I couldn’t resist it. I personally don’t like my real initials (TTT prior marriage and TTB after)
I thought about my blog but that is 4 initials which wouldn’t work either. In the end I decided to use PSG (Plus Size Goddess) as my ideal choice.
The great thing about Onecklace is that you can choose the chain, the length, the catch and the style. For this necklace I went with a 20 inch box chain and finished it off with a lobster clasp.
Sending the details through to Donna I was really excited to see how the three initials worked together. I knew that each piece was individually crafted and so I expected a bit of a wait for the items.
The second piece was a two name bracelet with double chains.
For this I decided on Secret Goddess.
Apart from one ring that my Dad had originally given to my Grandma, and then gave to me after her death which is gold with heart shaped diamonds, I only EVER wear silver.
So it was the obvious choice to go with sterling silver for the bracelet too.
The double name has two chains that connect to each name. These are made up of two rolo chains, linked with a spring clasp. The font is very delicate and pretty with an italic style to it.
I was really happy with my two choices and settled in to wait for them to arrive. I assumed as it was an American company that there may be several weeks wait.
So you can imagine my surprise when less than 2 weeks later a padded envelope arrived from Jerusalem. On the outside was the Onecklace logo and I got very excited!
Inside, very well wrapped were two packages and two leather look pouches to store the jewellery in. Also inside was a certificate of authenticity to prove that the items were genuine.
Getting the first item unwrapped I was delighted to find the Antique monogram necklace with the initials PSG.
I was absolutely thrilled. The antique styling was right up my alley, the three initials were curly and decorative and the pendant was the perfect size.
As it was such a stylised look, you might not realise it was a initial pendant. However, it was so pretty and decorative that it didn’t matter if people didn’t spot it straight away.
The second item, the bracelet was a bit more obvious. Italic style ‘Secret Goddess’ was beautifully carved out and attached to two rolo chains that met at the clasp. The font was really delicate and feminine and I was a little worried that the chain wouldn’t go around my fat wrists.
I was equally thrilled to find that it fit with plenty of room to spare. AND looked amazing!
The name section was slightly rounded to mimic the shape of the wrist. There was a lovely heart decal at the end of the two names and it really finished the whole look off.
Wearing the two items felt really natural. Both items felt perfect, fit perfect and were so lightweight and well designed that it didn’t actually feel like I was wearing anything at all.
The necklace is retailing at the fantastic price of $39.95 and the bracelet at $45.95. Given the workmanship in the two items, the price seems like too cheap. The silver is beautiful, stunningly crafted and a delight to wear.
Since I received the items, I haven’t stopped wearing them. I have to admit, I am quite in love with these two pieces. They are stunning in look and wear.
I can’t recommend the brand any higher; they really do have amazing products, amazing quality and pretty amazing prices!
Till next time
