If you are a regular reader you will know that I posted a blog a little while ago about a haul I got from Lady V London just around the festive season. In case you missed it, you can see it here
My favourite of all the dresses was this fantastic Hepburn style dress that fitted like a dream.
Usually I stay away from Hepburn style dresses as the high neckline tends to make my boobs look even bigger! However, for some reason this one was a perfect fit and actually looked pretty cool.
The dress has a random popcorn and movie ticket pattern and comes with a co-ordinating thin red belt which was extra generous in size and I might even need to get some more holes punched into it, it literally is that well sized.
I loved the shading on the pattern and the fact that it is slightly different shade of blue that most things out there seem to be.
The dress reaches mid-calf on me (at 5ft2) and has that thing that all women love, generous pockets!
I decided to take the dress away to Athens with me as it is made of a light cotton, had good coverage and I could pop my sunglasses and other bits in the pockets when I was walking around.
It was actually a great decision as the weather was really good and we were lucky to be walking around in light jackets and cardigans so this was a perfect choice. I teamed it up with a cute ferris wheel necklace that I own (sticking with the carnival/fairground theme)
Wearing this to walk up to the top of the Acropolis was a perfect idea. I was cool enough, yet covered from the already hot sun. The skirt covered most of my legs and again I was at no risk of getting sunburnt.
The dress is still available in sizes 8 to 26/28 priced at £55 and I have to say that it is worth every penny. I have worn this several times already and I know I will be getting even more wear out of it as it is fun and frivolous, but most of all, comfortable and easy to wear!
What do you think? Is is your style?
Till next time,
