As many of you know, the 4th of July was my birthday. Yep, I hit 46 years old and I am LOVIN’ it!
I can honestly say, my 40’s have been my favourite decade. I have had so many adventures, trips, and experiences that it has been a great period in my life.
Memories have been made as have friendships; for me a lot of those two have been with the same person Boo Brown of ‘Does my Blog make me look fat?’ fame.
We have been on 11 trips to 10 different Countries and had lots of adventures in the UK too! Boo knows my style and the companies I love. So, I was really lucky and chuffed to get a voucher for Luxulite from her for my birthday present.
I have a few pieces of Luxulite already; mainly brooches and the odd bangle.
However, I had my eye on a couple of special things that I spotted on their site the other week and I knew just what I would be putting in my basket.
The first thing I spotted was a super cute brooch featuring a mottled crab with a smaller crab attached by a chain. I saw it on Instagram and simply fell in love with it.
Cute n Crabby
It just was really cute and also quite different to anything else I had seen. As I was looking at the item online, I also spotted that they did matching hair-clips AND earrings….. Should I?
The second item which really caught my eye was a pair of bangles.
Now normally you buy bangles individually. However this was a pair for a very good reason.
Pineapple Passion
Yep, a Pineapple bangle with one being the flesh and the other being the leaves. And I already have a 3D pineapple bag which would look great with it.
Matching that with a pair of pineapple earrings also on the website, well it was a bit of a no-brainer. I just absolutely love the opaque yellow and the defined lining. So cool.
Perfect Pineapples
The last piece that I had my grubby little paws ready for was a set of Starburst brooches. Available in black, mint, coral, yellow, red and white.
White Wonder
This set of 3 brooches comprises a cluster and 2 singular brooches. These can be worn separately, as a pair or the whole collection. I just adored the set and knew it was going to be tricky to decide on the colour I wanted.
Black Beauty
I didn’t have a specific outfit(s) to wear it with, which again made it tricky to choose my favourite. Eventually I decided to take a bit of a while to think about it and work out my outfits first and then order it.
Ravishing Red
Anyway, I made my choices and put my order in. I added a few more pounds to the order so I could get a few bits and waited for the postman to come.
Around 6 days later the letterbox rattled and there was my parcel. Super excited.
I was not disappointed.

Beautifully packaged, and tied with a bow was some tissue wrapped treasures.

The first package had the fabulous pineapple earrings in, then the bangles and finally my little crabby friends!
Vibrant Colours
Each one was simply gorgeous. So beautifully made, with clever little accents such as the chain connecting the crabs together. I couldn’t wait to try it all on, but with nowhere special to go to, I just popped the bangles and earrings on for a taste of what they would look like.

I have a perfect dress and matching bag that I am going to wear these with when I actually have somewhere to go!

Oh and something else that was really cool… In the package were two stickers which are perfect sentiments in this modern age.
Couldn’t agree more!
In fact they were so cool, I put them onto my laptop.
