Several weeks ago I had a lovely email from a lady called Sarah who had seen my Instagram and wondered if I would be interested in trying out and reviewing their fabulous female shaving system, Estrid.

As someone who can be a bit lax with her shaving (which I will reveal more later) my interest was immediately piqued.
I have a love/hate relationship with shaving. I love the feel of soft, silky skin but I hate the palaver to get there. I find that women’s razors are rubbish AND expensive compared to men’s.
The blades just don’t shave as close as I want. That means I find that I go over my skin a couple of times and then that makes it sore!
For some reason womens razors are another of those items that seem to have a ‘pink tax’. If you compare the cost of a branded razor set for a male, to a female you can find dramatic differences.
A prime example of this is the Gillette Venus Platinum Razor with one 5 bladed head – £12. Compare that to the same brand 5 blade mens razor you will get it for £9!
Where is the justice in that?
So, like a third of all women, I use a mans razor because it works better and is less pricey. BUT, I find the dimensions are wrong for my tinier hand and this can be a little unwieldy.
Also, I tend to forget to pick up refills and when I really need to shave close and smooth, I can’t find one for looking, even in the hubby’s toiletry bag.
That obviously leads to a dilemma.

Well it is a subscription service like no other. No strings, no hidden agendas and totally and utterly flexible. You begin with a starter pack; a handle, holder and 2 heads for just £7.95 which is already a much better price than the top brand!

You are automatically part of the subscription system but you can put a halt to the subscription as soon as you have put your starter pack order through, if you want.
However, if you want to have brilliant blades coming through the post with no strings, then you also get to choose how often they arrive.
Colour – Space
Basically how often YOU shave; Several times a week? The highest amount of replacement cartridges is 4 heads delivered every 30 days.
A couple of times a week? You can get 4 heads every 60 days.
Once a week or less? Then the option to get 4 every 90 days is the one for you.
Ergonomic and Exceedingly good!
The cost for four replacement heads is £9.95 which is far cheaper than getting them in the shop (if I remember to pick them up!)
They also have some pretty cool Vegan toiletries to add to your box, again as a one-off or in every box.

As far as companies go, they are excellent role models all round, but you know the best thing?
The razors are sharp and smart and really do an excellent job; That is the best reason in the World to recommend this product to you!
