I am so fortunate to know some really talented people; artists, creators, photographers and writers. I have been privileged to witness some amazing talents and have been the recipient of some of those fabulous creations.
Recently I was at work when one of my colleagues, Rosa asked if I would be interested in testing out some earrings she had been making as a hobby.
She wanted to have someone wear them and give an honest opinion of the weight, feel, wearability and quality.
The earrings were made of a Polymer clay which made them very light and durable as you make a shape/design and bake in the oven to harden up. This means that they are very strong and long lasting.
You can combine colours or make them as plain as you like. Mix and mould and then when you are happy, bake them off.
Simple, right?
Well, I am sure there is a whole lot more to it than that, however I will leave that down to Rosa!
Anyway, she bought in 4 pairs of earrings that she had created and wanted tested. With a multitude of colours in each pair they were perfectly psychedelic and fabulous.
The first pair were a small button shape in primary colours including green, yellow, red, blue, white and black. There were also a couple of metallic golden parts in there, which really caught the light.
I loved this pair as they were colourful yet small enough to wear for work and casual days. They are so very light too and very easy to wear.
The second pair of earrings are much bigger and have a similar colour palette however are more mixed with smaller sections. The design is a large donut shape on a small button and again can be worn with so many different coloured outfits as they have every colour possible inside them.
One of the best things about these earrings is as they are made from a polymer material they are so very light. This is perfect for me as I don’t like heavy earrings and find them most uncomfortable.
The third pair was like an inverted exclamation mark in pink, lilac and metallic silver. This is probably my favourite pair as I love the shape and mix of colours.
I have the perfect dress for them and I know these would be a real asset to my accessory collection.
The final pair are made from the same batch as the first pair of button earrings. Large sections of bright colours on a large double oval. This pair has an amazing reverse pattern too, unlike the others.
On the back is a section of purple polymer which has been imprinted with a decorative filigree pattern. I actually mentioned to Rosa that the pattern would make for a beautiful obverse version too.
I loved wearing these earrings as they are unique, light and easy to wear.
Hopefully Rosa will start to produce these for sale too following my testing them out. I will let you know any updates when I get them.
Till next time,
