This year has come and gone so very fast that it seems bizarre that Christmas is about 4 weeks away.
32 days in fact.
Normally I am one of those people for whom Christmas jumps up on; I know it is the same time every single year however I usually end up starting my shopping around the 10th December in a panic. Whilst I love Christmas, I hate the whole buying, wrapping and organising side of things.
This year has been a strange one; the World as we know it went wonky and thousands upon thousands of people around the World have died. The Country is on a lockdown again and the shops are shut.
To be fair, I haven’t really wanted to go out into the wide World and mingle with the general public anyway. I do it on a daily basis at work so I try and reduce the amount of time outside of work.
Oh and the fact that I absolutely detest shopping when it is busy. Queues, moaning people, hot sweaty shops and hours of wandering about wondering what to buy.
This year, given the circumstances I got my act together and did most of my present buying online. In fact, with 32 days to go, I have got all but three presents bought which means I only have the dreaded wrapping up left to do.
Of course, this means that I have started think of presents that I would love to have for myself this year.
There are a couple of reasons why I do a yearly wish list; One is to have a look at all the lovely things out there and Two is so that my family and friends have some ideas of what to buy me!
So, what exactly is on my list?
Well, jewellery, handbags, hats, hair flowers and luxury dressing gowns!
Starting off with one of my favourite sellers, Bow and Crossbones.
I am a massive fan of the Goddess bangles and there are none more sparkly and Christmas like than the Nutcracker Bangle stack; clear, red and green bangles that would be perfect for a Christmassy outfit.
I would love to pair those up with these fabulous Noella earrings which are a limited edition.
Staying on the topic of jewellery I have found a few Pandora charms. Now, whilst I have a bracelet, I don’t actually have any charms on it. I have never been too fussed on them, if I am honest and never asked for them in the past.
They now have a whole range of Disney Charms and I bloody love them. The only thing is choosing which I love the most; the red apple or Winnie the Pooh.
Or Gus.
My next choice is one that my blogger wifey Boo actually came across; Belbeina Lee, a New Zealand based millinery who creates amazing vintage hats and hair accessories from stunning shades of velvet.
I absolutely adore the infinity hat and would love it in black, red or emerald green.
However, my favourite must be the holly design hat and hair clip. Perfect Christmas designs, I even have the perfect dress to go with it.
The next seller is one I have written about before, Si-Line Vintage.
Simon makes vintage style bags in a whole range of coloured plastic and different shapes. You can have them etched with patterns or initials and even choose the style of handle that you like.
There are so many that I like but two of my favourites must be the purple long hexagonal bag with a twisted handle
and the red deep bag with a clear lid and sparkle front panel.
Simon really is an amazing craftsman who recreates these distinctive designs but with a new flair and colour. I would absolutely adore any of his wonderful designs, in fact.
Most of my readers know how I love my hair flowers; I have them from a wide range of brands, Pin Up Curl, House of Drewvid, Ruby Boo Makes, and many more.
I have always been a big fan of Shazam hair flowers though and they have some stunning Winter creations that I would love to open up on Christmas Day.
This stunning Dogwood hair cascade and corsage set is simply stunning; decorated with Swarovski crystals it is just my style.
My other choice is the gorgeous red Hellebore cascade hair accessory. A perfect Christmas arrangement, again I have several outfits that would match with this so I am hoping the Christmas elves do me a favour!
My last choice is a very extravagant one; Catherine D’Lish dressing gowns.
Now, I don’t mean fluffy warm ones that are great after a bath. I mean opulent, luxurious robes that are trimmed in marabou and are the kind of thing one would wear after the death of an elderly wealthy husband (possibly by nefarious means)
Pair them up with some matching slippers and I would love wafting around the house looking like a 1950’s black widow.
Oh and if I could have them in two or three colours, I would be very appreciative.
So, there you go…. my wishlist of goodies all sewn up with links and everything. Santa, I would be absolutely thrilled as I have been a really good girl this year!
Till next time,
