Many of you know of my love affair with the wonderful Polish Bra designer and maker, Ewa Michalak.
Believe it or not, it was actually five years ago when Boo and I visited Warsaw on our first trip abroad together. Whilst there we had a trip to see Ewa, her sister Kasia and all the ladies who make the most beautiful bras and knickers in their factory in Łódź.
We had an absolute whale of a time in Poland and going to see how the bras were made AND get involved in a photoshoot for Ewa was a dream come true.
It was even more amazing when we were given the honour of having bras named after us; the Tanya and the Becky.
Anyway, I digress.
Before the World went wonky and came to a standstill, I was planning to go to see Ewa in the spring of 2020. I have put on some weight and I know for certain that my boobs have got bigger. My plan was to go for a couple of days, get measured again and buy some new sets which I would then use in a shoot back home.
Of course, when we went into lockdown that all got put on hold. I still plan to do it, but for now I had to resign myself to just having a look on her website.
Ewa has always had a fantastic range of lingerie but even I was blown away by one of the most recent pictures I saw on Instagram. This made me want to go and have a look at all of the different designs that she had to offer.
One of the most amazing things that I love about her designs is that she constantly thinks out of the box; cantilever straps to support bigger breasts better and reinforced straps to relieve some of the shoulder discomfort, to name a couple of the innovative design features.
Then you factor in the materials, trims, ribbons and cut out sections. The luxurious styles and little extras such as jewels, mesh inserts and even velvet all add up to beautiful lingerie that even the smallest or biggest bust can wear.
So, what are a few of my favourite styles?
Well, of course the one I had seen on Instagram had to be my first choice; The velvety Moulin Rouge Bra in a gorgeous shade of purple.
This bra ticks all the boxes for me; stunning colour, delicate black trim with accents on the back straps, front cantilever straps which join onto a bejewelled mesh section.
I particularly like the criss-cross black ribbon section that is used on each cup.
To say this is a sexy bra is a real understatement.
Coupled up with the high waisted panties with a matching ribbon section and thin straps that embellish the waist, one of the real surprises with this is the rear strap connection is replicated from the back of the bra.
There is a serious amount of work that has gone into this set and I absolutely adore it.
The set works out at around £96 which whilst that sounds quite a lot, if you read one of my most recent blogs, a bra from Ulla Dessous cost £93 on its own.
The second one I spotted was again another velvet number; The Emi.
This one actually caught my eye due to the exquisite back. Not only is it lace embellished, it also has a multiway back, which is never made in bigger sizes, I mean it just doesn’t happen!
This bra can be worn either as a standard bra or a cross-over racer style back due to special clasps that are fitted at the front.
Genius!
Couple that with the delicate cut-out design briefs with a see thru section, well it is just classy yet very sexy indeed.
The deep maroon colour is beautiful and again, different. So often you can only get bigger bras in white, ecru and black. With Ewa, you get the best colours, fabrics and patterns; she simply designs bras that are beautiful, regardless of the size.
As I have mentioned before, Ewa creates for all sizes; whether you are very small busted and want a gorgeous bra that makes you feel amazing OR are very large busted and want a gorgeous bra that makes you feel amazing that also happens to be supportive and well fitting.
This set works out at approximately £90 and I think worth every penny.
Moving on, the Czardasz was a set that really stood out. The red and black is such a contrast and unusually this bra has a full black lace cup with red satin for the rest of the bra.
This also has the choice of the versatile back; racer or standard due to the special front clasps.
The panties are gorgeous; from the front they look like standard red satin briefs with lace side sections. However, wait until you turn around and see the whole lace rear which is styled almost in a boys short style.
Stunning!
Again, this is priced very similarly; £88.
My final choice is the Azuryt.
This is almost a combination of the Moulin Rouge and the Emi; it has the ribbon designs on the cup of the M.R yet the versatile back of the Emi.
The gorgeous bluebell colour is stunning and the black ribbon and straps really compliments it. The only difference between the M.R, Emi and the Azuryt is that it doesn’t have the harness straps that give extra hold.
Either way, I think it is absolutely beautiful and again Ewa has outdone herself.
The panties are a work of art too; a cutout diamond mesh at the back is embellished with black ribbon to match the bra. The front is bisected by black ribbons and two little black buttons and looks very demure until you turn around!
This one is a little cheaper and works out around £86.
I am hoping Santa thinks I have been especially good this year as I plan to put all three on my Christmas list.
I guess I will have to see what arrives in my stocking on Christmas Day.
Till next time,
