Many of my readers will know about my long time love and collaboration with Ewa Michalak, the maker of extra-ordinarily beautiful bras.

Just before Christmas I had a lovely email asking for a revised set of measurements in order to send me a new set to try.

Now, Ewa gets you to take more measurements than you would normally do, including bending forward without a bra on and even lying down. This helps to get the volume of the breasts and gives a better idea of what cup size is needed.

Ready to Shoot

I followed the guidelines which are very simple to do and sent off my numbers.

Just before the Christmas period, a package arrived covered in Ewa Michalak tape. I was so excited to open the package and see what had been sent.

A Stunning Set

This gorgeous dark red and black design is unlike any other Ewa bra that I own. The main reason for this is the material is quite stiff and textured. All of my other bras are of a soft, silky material and this is ‘rough’ in a very good way, if that makes sense.

The black lace overlay is soft and compliments the red perfectly. It is a pretty floral/paisley design which is only used on the actual cup area. The bra has a red band and red scalloped sections above the lace area which I feel are really unusual.

Ravishing Red and Black

As with all Ewa Michalak bras, it is highly supportive and comfortable to wear. The back band has 3 standard style hook and eyes. They are very solid and I know will last a long time.

The straps are the really unusual part about this bra. Not only is there a stunning length of red ribbon with a lace overlay embedded in each strap, they are also multi-functional.

Multifunctional Design

By this, I mean there is a plastic sliding clip like one you would find on the rear of bikini top. You can un-pop it, slide apart and alter the straps.

Fantastic Options

Doing this means you can have them crossed at the back. Whilst I haven’t tried it yet, I think you could possibly have them crossed at the front too.

This not only allows you to wear them with different style tops, but gives an amazing lift to the bust when having them crossed over.

Added Lift once Crossed over

I found that I actually preferred the bra with crossed straps as it felt even more supported and uplifted than any other bra I have tried, even Ewa’s.

Moving onto the high briefs, these were a beautiful match to the bra.

Loving the Fit

Cut almost like a pair of boy shorts, they feature a gorgeous red satin front panel surrounded by sheer lace. The waistband is a length of simple patterned lace and the leg holes are embellished by the same red scalloping as the top of the bra cups.

Robe Off

To finish the briefs off, there are three little black buttons down the front of the red panel.

As for the rear of the briefs, well they are just black lace and hug a bottom perfectly. The red scalloping edges the lace and really stands out.

Feeling a million dollars

Taking all into consideration, this set ticks all the boxes.

Not only is it beautiful, it is practical too.

The style is very flattering and if I dare say it, sexy. But even more so, it is really comfortable to wear AND super-supportive.

Posing

I know Ewa has some other styles that have cross-over straps including the Azurty and the Dot Red.  Both of these have lovely embellishments and the matching panties are pretty wonderful too!

So, now I have told you all about how stunning they are, how was the fit given the measurements online?

Pretty damn good!

Holds Up Well

As with a high percentage of women, one of my breasts is bigger than the other. Statistically between 62 – 82% of women, in fact.

This means that whilst one cup fits perfectly, the other isn’t quite as good. Of course if I sized up, the smaller breast wouldn’t fit as well so it is a bit of a conundrum.

Beautiful in all areas

In this instance, the bra fits perfectly on my smaller breast and the larger one spills over a tiny bit. This can be ‘solved’ by moving the breast tissue around a bit until it gives a smooth effect.

Before anyone comments on this, yes I am aware that this doesn’t mean that it is the perfect fitting bra for me, but what else can anyone do if your breasts are asymmetrical?

In Love

As for the rest of the bra, I have to say it works really well for me. I have worked a full shift wearing it and I honestly was so comfortable and felt supported and ‘cradled’ all day long.

Hopefully during this year, if the Pandemic allows, I want to go over to see Ewa and get her actual perspective and advice on it and then treat myself to a couple more of the cross over strap designs.
