Another of my Christmas  family wishlist items was a stunning brooch and earring set from a company that I have purchased many items from in the past, Luxulite.

I had seen the set whilst looking for gifts for people and thought it was delightful and unlike nothing else I own. I had the perfect dress in mind for it (if I was lucky enough to get the jewellery) and so it went on the list.

One of the reasons why I write a private wishlist for my birthday and at Christmas time is that family and friends are always asking what they can buy for me.

Rather than tell them a specific item, I write the wishlist as there is then some hope that a) I get something I would like and b) it is still a relative surprise!

So, it was a total surprise to open a present from Little Chick on Christmas Day to see the Luxulite Starburst Sparkle Jewellery in Purple, nestled inside.

The items come as two separate purchases; the earrings and the brooch set.

The brooch set is made up of three pieces; a larger three star cluster and two single stars. This means you can wear them as a large statement piece, or just one at a time.

The outfit that I plan to wear it with is a plain purple dress.

Well, when I say plain purple, I mean the gorgeous ruched Monica dress by Pin Up Girl Clothing.

Marvellous Monica

I have had this dress over five years now, but it is still one of my favourites. A figure hugging, tight fitting dress that clings to all the curves and accentuates what you have. It also gives the illusion of those same attributes if you are a little lacking in the padding area!

A win-win situation all round, in my opinion.

Starburst Sparkle earrings

My love for the Monica dress is such that I also have it in Teal and a glittery silver colour. I had the teal adapted to make it into a mermaid dress for a special ball, so hasn’t had as much wear, but the glittery one has been twirled around a few times.

Anyway, the purple dress has been worn to events and concerts and I genuinely love it. It is such a striking purple that I could choose to mix it with a totally clashing colour, such as fuchsia, however I think that it could be even more effective with other shades of purple.

Cluster and Individual Brooches

With this in mind, I asked for the brooch and earrings set to make a start on the ‘Perfectly Purple’ outfit.

Add that to the Ruby Shoos that are due to arrive any day and I think the outfit is pretty much good to go. I have had the idea of gluing a couple of small croc clips to the single brooches so I could wear them in my hair, whilst having the cluster on my breast.
