Over the Festive period there was not a lot to do due to the Pandemic.
Having a small amount of Christmas money at my disposal, it was very easy to browse all my favourite sites looking for little treasures that were in the Boxing weekend sale.
I happened to be looking on Etsy for a knitting pattern and stumbled across some lovely items that happened to be in the sale.
The seller was based in the Netherlands and called OniquesUniques.
Looking through her pages, there were many stunning pieces including fakelite earrings, brooches, necklaces and more.
I was drawn towards the Christmas offerings in the sale, mainly as I love to add new Festive pieces to my stash, even if I can’t wear them for a whole year. I add them to the ‘winter section’ of jewellery and then forget about them.
When the following festive season comes around, it is like receiving little presents as you uncover all the things you have forgotten about!
Thinking in this way, I had a good look at what was on offer and plumped for four pieces; two pairs of earrings, a brooch and a hair accessory.
All for the fantastic price of £21.37
So what exactly did I get?
The very first thing that went into my basket was this beautiful pair of holly earrings for pierced ears.
A deep red glittery button earring from which a three leaf holly sprig hangs. Each sprig has three little glittery red berries the same colour as the button.
Oh and the green is sparkly too!
Then I noticed that there was a matching brooch. This time on a red asymmetric rectangle which is very reminiscent of the atomic era shapes.
Well I could hardly have the earrings and not add that brooch. As regular readers will know, I do love to match and what better than a matching festive set?
Next in my basket was a really cute hair accessory.
Two glittery blue baubles are topped by two sparkling red stars. These are surrounded by green and red fern branches and a pinecone.
It really is quite unusual compared to most festive hair accessories. Yes, it has baubles and pinecones but I haven’t seen any others with green and red ferns, especially as the red is completely covered in glitter.
All of these are surrounded by leaves which in turn are attached to a crocodile clip. Very secure and perfect for all kind of hair or styles.
My last item was another pair of earrings, this time a wicker style oval shape in red with a little Christmas tree on each one.
The tree is decorated with white garlands and multi-coloured baubles, whilst the wicker is a deep red. The stud part of the earring is a gold half ball and for pierced ears only.
Although the earrings are quite big, they are very lightweight and comfortable to wear. I know they will be perfect for Christmas and will get quite a lot of wear from them.
So the last pair of earrings joined the other three items in my basket and my order was placed.
As it was the festive period, I didn’t expect the items to arrive that quickly. I was therefore surprised when a box landed on the doorstep about a week later.
When I opened the box I was even more delighted to find Dutch sweets and little card decals. Such a lovely and thoughtful thing to do!
Oh and the sweeties were delicious too.
Till next time,
