I was lucky enough to receive a beautiful pair of Ruby Shoos and matching bag for Christmas after seeing a post from Melody Mae and adoring what I saw.
The shoes were Mabel with the matching Padua bag, both in a deep red.
Oh and they were possibly the most comfortable pair of heeled shoes I have ever worn!

Because of the Mabel shoes, I couldn’t resist getting a pair of shoes and matching bag in the New Year Sales. This time the Melody Shoe and Lucca bag in purple velvet.
I had to wait around 10 days for it to arrive as it was over the festive period, but it was well worth the wait.
The items arrived in a large box and were well packaged inside.
Now would they be as wonderful as I hoped?
Oh, absolutely!
The shoes are extremely luxurious. Made of faux suede with polka dot velvet side panels, the styling really is stunning. Add a low Louis heel, and a double bow at the front and you have a good looking shoe.
The under part of the bow and the heel are of a glitter suede so it also catches the light beautifully as well as being an unusual feature.
One of the fantastic things about Ruby Shoos is that each pair has a contrasting padded material insole. This means that it is soft, supportive and again gives that extra bit of luxury.
In my previous review I was very enthusiastic over the comfort of the shoes, mainly because of the Louis heel. For those not aware, the design of the Louis heel is one of the most ergonomically comfortable heels you can get.
This is due to the curvature of the heel which is directly under your own heel, which helps with balance and evenly distributes your weight. This then keeps your legs and back aligned which reduces pain and discomfort.
And makes for much easy walking!
Podiatrists recommend a heel height of between 1 -2 inches as the ideal option for comfortable wear and the Melody meets this recommendation perfectly.
These are again another pair of beautifully comfortable shoes. As with the Mabel shoes, I know that wearing this for a full day on my feet will be no issue.
On my first wear of Mabel, I wore them for a whole day with no blisters, rubbed parts or discomfort and I believe this is due to that padded material covered insole AND the Louis heel.
Moving onto the bag, the Lucca bag matches the heels perfectly. Made with the same faux suede and velvet as the shoes, it features a fixed rigid handle and has a long detachable strap.
The double bow on the front has the same glittery material on the under bow and middle section. The flap of the bag is edged in a sparkly thread as is the outside edge of the shoes.
It is a triangular shape bag which although quite small in measurement, surprisingly holds a lot of ‘stuff’.
Both items are still available in the sale at 50% off, making the shoes just £27.50 and the bag £21.00. Given the quality of the items, I would say that even if they were full price, they are a bargain.
Oh and if purple isn’t your thing……
They have them in Navy blue polka dot too!
Till next time,
