Jane is a self taught acrylic nail artist who spends hours painting intricate designs, glueing jewels and little decals onto various shapes and styles of nails.

She doesn’t do this for profit or even to sell them; she does it to keep busy shielding during the lockdown and has created some absolutely stunning designs.

Beautifully Baroque

I was so extremely fortunate to have received a variety of nails from Jane recently in the post which I have yet to share or wear!

Animaltastic

The main reason is that they are just too good to wear for everyday. Most of them really need a special event to show them off at their best.

However, given that the lockdown/Pandemic is still ongoing, it seems like it might be quite a long time before that happens and whilst I am not wearing the nails, I thought that I should share her most recent delights.

Some of these nails are just so delicate in their design, yet still stand out.

Jane loves to make extremely long nails and whilst she can wear hers like it and manage to function, I can’t type worth a damn with a pair on, so I definitely have to keep them for a special occasion.

A perfect example of this is the pastel floral set, which are probably the longest and most pointed pair she has made for me. I have a lovely flowery dress that I intend to pair this up with, when the Summer comes.

Delicate Florals

Tiny little petals and glistens of gold really highlight these nails and they are exquisite.

Exquisite

The next set is a stunner for lots of reasons; the green, the gold overlay and the marbled effect all stand out for being an unusual colour combination. It is not a common colour that people use for nails, but I think it works so well.

Green Goddess

This reminds me of serpent like colours and the length is one that I could easily wear daily. A total winner as far as I am concerned.

Green with Envy

Something a little different is this lace embellished pattern in black and white. Although you possibly cannot see it on the photograph, the nail meant for the ring finger is actually gloss, whereas the others are all matte.

Classy yet Subtle

Jane also usually adds a couple of extras in the sets for the statements nails so you can pick and choose what you want. In this case, there are matte ring nails in case you don’t like the one glossy one.

Black and White Mastery

I especially love the black border which has been hand-painted all the way around each nail. This really sets it off and gives it even more class.

Another set of black nails that are pretty fabulous is the newspaper print set, which is graphic yet abstract. These are quite long, but I find that the flat top is not so tricky to type with, so I could give these an outing sooner than some of the others.

I have to admit that I am torn on which is my favourite set.

I think there are two contenders and the first has to be the pink and blue cloud nails. They are a perfect shape and length for me, whilst still being decorative.

I have the ideal dress to wear them with and plan on waiting for a sunny Summer day in which to show them off.

In the Clouds

The second is this highly decorative and unusual oyster shell patterned set. With a high gloss white paired with the look of  Mother of Pearl (Nacre). If I didn’t know better, I would have said that Jane had pressed actual nacre into the nails as it looks that authentic!

It shines and glistens with a whole range of metallics that I simply do not know how she managed to create it.

This set is absolutely outstanding and certainly needs the right event and time in order to show them off to the best of my ability, showcasing her impressive styles.

Anything less would be a waste!
