As you all know, I have a ongoing partnership with Shein Clothing where they send me a few clothes (of my choice) to try out every month.
Over the past six years, my penchant for clothing has angled much more towards vintage styling and so I always look on the site for things that I can use or wear that fulfil my love of yesteryear.
So when the lovely Jessy made contact with me recently to ask if I would like to choose some items, I headed straight to a few garments that I had my eye on.
The first of these was a pretty little ditsy floral dress with a pleated skirt and large bow at the neckline.
Initially it was the pattern that drew me to the garment as it had a really sweet little floral design printed over an off-white base. The flowers are pink and green sprigs in a repeated pattern all over and are extremely cute.
The little sleeves are hemmed and almost a cap style. The waist is elasticated and the skirt is loose and flowing.
A large bow is on the neckline and is made up of numerous little pleats which give it a great effect.
I asked for a 5Xl in the dress as I always check the measurements on every item. Shein is brilliant for listing the measurements and dimensions for every single item they sell.
This means that it really does pay to check the sizing as you might need something larger (or even smaller) than what you think you normally would order.
When it arrived, I was thrilled with the dress. It is lightweight, pretty, unusual in its design, floaty and flattering. Being only 5ft tall (60 inches) it is quite long, but then again a maxi style dress usually is.
I decided to pair this dress with a pair of pink heels to give me some height. I then added complimentary colour bangles and I was all set to go.
The dress is available in sizes 1XL to 5XL and is at the great price of £17.99. It is a perfect addition to any Spring wardrobe and won’t break the bank either.
With such an amazing design feature as the pleated bow, you won’t need many accessories as it really stands out and makes a fantastic focus point.
I actually wore this dress to work one day a couple of weeks ago. I literally had numerous compliments on it and questions as to where it was from, which surprised and delighted me as I was unsure if it was technically work-wear.
Clearly Spring is in the Air and this dress brings the spring indoors too!
What do you think to the design? I would love to know.
Till next time,
