This next blog is more of a short ‘advertisement’ than anything else, really.
Yet I have not been paid, sent, gifted or sponsored in any way. I just happen to love the work of this particular person and wanted to share it with all my readers.
I was introduced to her work by Instagram after spotting a series of portraits she calls her Body Positivity Project. I recognised the subject of the artwork and had to know and see more!
Heading over to ladyluckdraws Instagram page I was thrilled to see so many bright, beautiful women that I know plus many I wasn’t acquainted with, but through the posts on the page, I am now.
Ladyluckdraws is the baby of a lovely lady called Ami and I made contact with her regarding getting a portrait drawn for my Bestie Blogger pal, Boo.
It was almost her birthday and whilst I had some goodies bought already, I didn’t know quite what to get her as her main present. Seeing Ami’s work, I thought it would be a real blast to get her a portrait.
Talking to Ami about what kind of photographs she needed, I sent three or four that I had of Boo and let her choose the best one.
I also decided to get one of my own done at the same time but I really didn’t know which picture to choose for it. Again, I sent four or five pictures and let Ami decide.
A few days later I had an email from Ami saying the portrait was done. To say I was excited was an understatement.
She sent Boo’s picture first and I have to admit I absolutely loved it.
The picture she used is one of my all-time favourites that I have never been able to replicate and I was over the moon.
