My most recent Shein reviews have consisted of a gorgeous mustard coat and a red wiggle dress which I fell in love with.
If you didn’t see either of them, you can read about the coat and the dress here.
My third choice for review was a beautiful floral pleated dress with a pussy-cat bow.
I had requested this particular dress as I already own another similar Shein dress in Navy blue floral print and as I had received so many compliments when I wore it out, I thought a pink version would be a great option.
When it arrived, I immediately loved the floral print. The base colour is a blush pink and has large groups of pink, grey and green flowers printed over it.
The dress is exceptionally well designed; The pussy-cat bow is full as are the sleeves, which have a little flounce around the wrist.
I particularly loved how the skirt section is made up of multiple pencil type pleats. This gives it both weight and a fullness without looking too ‘poufy’.
This specific dress is available in their plus size range from 0XL to 4XL and it both quite generous in its sizing and decent in its pricing.
The 4XL has measurements of 54.3 inches in the bust and up to 58.3 inches on the waist. Of course, this dress is made of a polyester type fabric so there isn’t any extra stretch to be had.
I have to admit, this wasn’t a huge problem for me as it fit like a glove.
Priced at just £17.49, it is a great price for a quality garment.
So, how did I feel in it?
Well, absolutely lovely in fact.
This is the kind of dress that you could wear to the supermarket, to a picnic, to Church or even a semi-smart meal out.
A real ‘Sunday’ kind of dress, if you know what I mean.
I wore mine to go out for lunch and paired it with my pink lulu-hun bow fronted Connie shoes, a short pink wig and a pink floral hair accessory from Ruby Boo Makes.
Pottering around in the back garden, collecting eggs from the bantams, I felt like a real country girl. Popping out for a relaxed lunch was even nicer and the style of dress fitted in perfectly.
Of course, I wouldn’t always wear a wig with the dress but it went so perfectly with the outfit that I couldn’t resist. I felt it gave a simple style a little more pizzazz.
Whilst this can be worn at any time of the year, I think it will be a real stunner come Spring time, paired with a lovely pink rose bedecked straw hat.
Sounds perfect to me!
