As you may have already seen, I have been showing all the contenders for this years Christmas Party dress.
So far there has been the black velvet Chinese style dress, the blue velvet Bardot Star dress, the blue and gold Argyle dress and this final dress; The Silver Keyhole dress.
If you missed any of the party dresses, you can see them here, here and here!
This final dress was one of the ones on my ‘extras’ list as previously mentioned in my first post.
Now, don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t that I didn’t like this dress as much, but there was the dress that was at the top of my list, but extremely limited as mentioned earlier.
As it was, I couldn’t resist that dress so I actually bought it myself and will be my next post. I had to buy it based on the fact that I love it that much and didn’t want to miss out.
Anyway, the alternative they sent was a gorgeous silver lurex full length gown with a cross-over keyhole section and a pearl embellished belt.
This dress has a beautiful ruched cross-over front, which leaves that keyhole which can show a little (or large) peek of cleavage. Lantern sleeves and a full skirt give a retro feel that it is exceedingly flattering.
Priced at £28.99 the gown is a steal, given that it is a special occasion dress. The quality is fantastic and unlike most lurex dresses, it isn’t scratchy and irritating. In fact, the inside is very soft and smooth and a total delight to wear.

The dress measures 53/39-59/56″ and is a couple of inches about the ankle on the model. Again this means that it is just above floor length for me.
I chose to wear this to a very elegant restaurant for dinner with my great friend, Jane. I paired it up with a long grey ombre wig, black ‘Adele’ shoes by Miss L Fire and an original vintage Cordé black half moon shape bag.
The meal was perfect, as was the dress.
It made me feel classy and stylish whilst still hitting that retro/vintage look.
The dress was extremely comfortable for a party dress which is a total bonus in my book and although I only wore it for around three hours, I truly believe you could wear this for 24 hours and it would still feel great.
I have thought of some other stylings that I would like to put with this dress, including diamante hair clips, 1970’s curls or maybe an original 1940’s lucite handbag.
Regardless of how it is showcased, it is actually a show-stopper and I can’t wait to wear it out again soon.
Till next time,
