Readers of my blog will know of recent posts that I wrote reviewing four party dresses from Shein.
This was all in the aid of getting my Christmas Party dress arranged early due to the fact Shein does have a slightly long delivery time.
Now, when I say long delivery time, the parcels I have had from Shein have all taken around 10 to 12 days, regardless of whether I have paid and ordered the product OR been sent it for review.
If you missed my posts, you can read all about the silver gown, blue star gown, blue & gold gown and the Chinese gown by clicking on the names here!
As I previously mentioned, Shein had sent me four dresses with one of them being an alternate choice as my first choice was very low in stock. In fact, there was only one 4XL left and I really couldn’t resist it.
In to the basket it went.
So, what was it exactly that caught my eye?
The glitter fold-over Bardot formal dress with transparent straps.
Made of 100% glittery polyester, the dress features a slight A-line dress with an attached half overskirt which adds a flowing section from hip to hip.
The top section is similar to a sweetheart neck, however has a small draped ‘sleeve’ for each arm. To keep the dress up, there are adjustable straps which are transparent and hook into little loops on the inside of the dress.
Now, given that I am particularly large chested, I didn’t need the straps and prefer the look without them. For those not as blessed/cursed (whichever way you look at it) the straps are very handy and are not obtrusive either.
The dress has approximate measurements of 50/42/55″ but does have some slight stretch too. This enables it to cling to the figure whilst flattering it too.
Priced at £35.49, the dress is an absolute stunner and will make anyone feel like a princess.
To give the dress the respect it deserves, I chose to pair the dress with some dark shoes and green and gold gemstone earrings. I added a fur stole instead of a coat and I was ready to (Christmas) Party.
Wearing this gown literally made me feel like a Hollywood movie star, whilst not breaking the bank.
I simply cannot wait to wear it out over the festive season and intend to dance my little shoes off!
Knee allowing, of course.
Oh and if you fancy a cheeky discount off the website, use Tanyab15 and you will automatically get 15% off any purchases.
That makes the dress only £29.11 and there are stocks in both the emerald green as shown here and what is labelled as Maroon, which I think looks like a silvery lilac.
Either option is absolutely gorgeous and I might even get the other colour too!
I just need another party to go to…
Till next time,
