Whilst at a recent photoshoot with my bestie Boo of “Does my Blog make me look fat?” I had the chance to try on a stunning dress – the Maneater by Vixen.
Vixen is the brainchild of Micheline Pitt and boy does she know how to design a dress!
Boo is the Vixen Goddess. She owns virtually every piece and looks stunning in them all. I own a handful of pieces and love every single one of them.
I had never considered the Maneater dress before as for some silly reason I thought it wouldn’t fit me.
So why on earth did I really think that?
Well, a 4XL has always fitted but been on the snug side, but over the Pandemic I have become heavier than I have ever been. I have mentioned this before and it is something that I need to start addressing.
But in the meantime, I have shied away from the Maneater (and most other Vixen offerings) for fear of ordering from the USA, waiting a period of time for its arrival only for it to not fit.
However, at a recent photoshoot at Le Keux, Boo encouraged me to try her dress on for size. I was completely convinced that it wouldn’t fit at all but not only did it fit, but there was a good amount of room!
Her Maneater dress is a peachy pink polka-dotted affair although the Maneater comes in half a dozen or so colour combinations.
Also available on pre-sale is a polka dotted lupin blue version which I was also very taken with. Knowing that I could only really afford one, I made my final decision and went with what I had tried on.
The peachy pink had just gone with my complexion so very well that I couldn’t resist it. Whilst I had no doubt the blue would be beautiful, it is such an unusual blue that I just wasn’t sure it would go so well.
Boo was planning on putting in an order and as there was a large discount available, I threw caution to the wind and told her to put the Maneater in there for me.
All I need now is for it to arrive and a sunny day to premier it.
Till next time,
