If you read my blog regularly, you may have read a post I wrote about my hatred of Leopard Prints.
The blog entitled ‘What’s New, Pussycat?’ was the story of how I had gone from hating Leopard Print to almost loving it, but not quite.
That was last July and a lot of time has passed since then, but my fascination for Leopard print has grown in leaps and bounds. My wardrobe now has a fair few pieces, including glasses, jewellery and hats.
So here we are, a full round up of my pieces.
The first outfit is this cheeky little dress from Asos. A perfect a-line dress with black sleeve trim and a Peter Pan collar.
I am wearing a size 24 in this dress and it is true to size.
Shorter than my normal clothes, I have put this on with some black patent heels, but in all honesty I would probably wear it with thick black tights and knee high boots.
Next is a great little number from Shein. A ruffled knee length dress in a standard leopard print, this 4XL is at the brilliant price of £7.99!
This fitted perfectly and I think it actually suited my body shape really well.
Another Shein favourite look is this slightly secretarial looking peplum dress. A simple straight skirted dress with a V neck, the frilly peplum adds a little sauciness.
Again I am wearing a 4XL and this is also in the sale for just £6.00. Well, you can’t do better than that!
Next I have a few accessories that I just couldn’t resist. The first one being a gorgeous felt fedora with a simple leopard print belt.
If you read me regularly you will know I love a hat and this one really hits the target, and for only £5.00 it is exceedingly high quality for a really low price.
When you consider a 15% discount on top, this was for the silly price of only £3.75. You can’t even get a coffee for that!
My next accessory is a pair of glasses.
I hear you ask, a pair of glasses? Well these are plain lens glasses but have an anti-blue light coating which I find helps me at night when I am writing or using a tablet/mobile phone for reading.
Studies show that the blue light that is generated causes many issues, not excluding problems getting to sleep (which I struggle from). I thought it was worth a go at just £5.00
Since I have been wearing these glasses, my sleep pattern has been so much improved, and I have to wonder if these have helped in some way.
Going back to another outfit, there is this stunning button down full length dress which I got a few weeks ago from Shein. Slightly higher price point with this one, but still affordable at £11.99. Sadly this one is now sold out.
I put the dress with a solid metal cut out belt, although it does come with a tie belt. I chose to use the belt as a hair ribbon/tie when I wore this out the other week and it went a treat.
The belt is brilliant though, and at £2.82 after discount, it is just silly money and worth giving a go. I was actually really surprised with the quality of the belt, and it fitted around my 48″ waist really well.
Next on the agenda was a cute little jersey turban with a rose front. Most of you will know of my love of a turban and so it was too good to miss out.
This would also look great with a plain black or brown dress and accessories, if you don’t fancy the full leopard look. Also a complete bargain at £3.00.
If you are nervous around leopard print and want to dip a tiny toe in the water, then you could do it very gently with a set of press on nails.
Priced at only £1.49 these are brilliant and come with stick on gel pads, a small emery board and spares. I always glue mine on with some glue that I grab from Primark for around a pound.
So, there you go. You can go in like a little kitten or go for the full roar. I definitely am a true convert and love all the items I have collated. I just need some printed kitten heels now to round it all off.
Till next time,
