A few months ago I went to Le Keux in Birmingham for a photoshoot with the beautiful Boo.
During the course of the day whilst sat chatting, I was asking about one of the dresses that Boo had chosen to wear in the photoshoots which was a stunning Maneater peach and black polka dot dress by Vixen.
I say, Peach. On the website it is described as Rose Pink but I it is pretty much the same thing. I also wanted to make use of a Prince title!
As regular readers know, I have a fair few Vixen by Micheline Pitt dresses including the Haunted Honey Sarong dress and the stunning sequined pink gown that I wore to previous Le Keux Shoots.
I had checked out the polka dot dress when it had been released however I didn’t think that the measurements would fit my body size and had decided to stay away.
Boo told me that the material was extremely stretchy and had so much room that I should have no issue in fitting it. In fact she convinced me to head back to the changing area and give it a try.
I have to admit to being completely stunned by the stretch in the material and also how beautifully it fitted my curves.
I was smitten!
She had convinced me that I needed the dress in my life and even better, Vixen had a sale on and I could save 30% on this stunning garment.
Boo was ordering some things, so we put in the order and I eagerly awaited the arrival!
Of course, I couldn’t help but be absolutely chuffed to pieces with the dress when it landed on my doorstep. The cut was exactly the same as Boo’s version and it flattered all my curves and lumps.
Even better, like most of her stunning designs, it has pockets!
I ordered the 4XL which is around a size 26 in the UK but I truly believe that this could stretch to a size 28 and maybe even more.
The main colour is the prettiest peach which compliments my skin tone exceedingly well. The regular size black polka dots cover the whole garment but do not make it too busy or extreme.
One of the loveliest features is the sweetheart neckline with a fold over portion that adds a little extra dimension to the design.
The skirt is a standard full circle skirt (with the added pockets) and on me it reaches lower calf. Bear in mind though that I am only 5ft tall, so will be shorter on those lucky to be taller than I am.
All in all, this dress is an absolute stunner and there is the bonus of it being available in other colours too; in fact Boo wore a fabulous Periwinkle blue version whilst we were in Italy and I am quite partial to that too.
If you are looking for a very easy to wear dress, with multiple options in colour AND those all important pockets, you won’t go wrong with this dress at all.
In fact, I intend to increase the versions of this dress that I have in my wardrobe in the not too distant future.
Till then,
