I was bimbling about on the Shein website recently when I came across a stunner of a dress.

Priced at £29.99 before discount, I popped it into my basket with a couple of other bits and happily paid for my things.

Gorgeous In Green

In the end the dress came out at £22.07 which was a pretty good deal.

Fast forward 10 days and a parcel arrived on the doorstep. I couldn’t wait to give the dress a go, even though it was completely out of my normal style.

Floral Fancy

In fact, I was a little concerned that it would be too ‘young’ a style for me, after all I am now nearly 48 years old!

However I decided that as I really liked it, I would give it a go.

Flower Power

Oh boy, was I glad I gave it a go!

The dress IS a real stunner, as I suspected. Huge puffy sleeves join onto a square necked bodice which falls into a floaty long skirt.

Petal Power

So how was the fit?

The bodice fitted beautifully over my chest, whilst the skirt hit at just the right length. Given that I am only 5 foot tall, this came to around my ankles, which was longer than I would normally wear, but looked great.

Lovely Length

I ordered a size 24 but as always checked the measurements to make sure it would fit me. I do love the fact that you can get the specifications for every single item in both inches and centimetres. I always use inches as I am old school.

This particular dress comes out as 55.5/39.8/118.9. Which it more than big enough for my size 26 body.

Awesome Arch

I paired the dress with some green Lulu Hun shoes which I bought in the sale last year. Almost a perfect match, I felt both comfortable AND stylish.

Throwing on a denim jacket from Boohoo, I popped over to a local lake area and took a host of photographs. The light was perfect as the sun was setting and I made use of the pre-made props already there.

Floral Positivity

I felt really special in this dress. It is both elegant yet casual and the two tone pattern is lush. The material is quite stiff yet I feel this will soften a little on first wash.

If you are looking for something a little different, yet still look wonderful for any event, I highly recommend this dress. It is comfortable to wear yet gives quite a special look.

Green and Glowing

The only negative side to it is it only comes in the one colour; if there were other options I think I would have to buy them all!

Fingers crossed that they release some more colour options.
