So…. I have to apologise firstly for the delay in writing about the rest of my Twinwood adventure. I have let time get away from me, for various reasons.

These include, illness, work commitments, other blogs needing immediate posting when it is for a review or just general forgetfulness and not realising just how long it has been since posting the first part.

Anyway, on from the first day.

I had a wonderful day and evening, before returning back home, with an early alarm set to get ready for Sunday at my favourite place, Twinwood.

As previously mentioned, I had put all my outfits out ready, alongside their accessories, shoes and bags and it was just a case of getting up, checking the weather forecast and then deciding on the most suitable choice.

In this case, I went for an old favourite of mine; the Pin Up Girl Clothing tiki dress with matching bolero. I added some fabulous red, orange and yellow Lulu Hun Shoes, an original vintage hat, a red vanity case and a few matching bangles.

Making sure I added my 1930’s sunglasses and a lot of factor 50 suncream, I settled down in the main arena to watch the plethora of bands and orchestras that would be performing.

As I previously mentioned, I had taken an icebox full of non-alcoholic beverages with me and I happily tucked into those whilst relaxing in my reclining chair.

It was wonderful just watching the world go by, listening to marvellous music whilst also catching up with old and new vintage friends.

I hadn’t had chance to wander around too much on Saturday, so I took a walk up to the main trading area and had a bit of a mooch around.

Bumping into lots of friends, I couldn’t help spot a perfect buy before I had even got 2 stalls in!

A gorgeous egg shaped avocado green bag. Priced at £20, I snapped it up before wandering around a little more.

Further along I saw a lovely original vintage straw bag with a tiny little bit of damage. At £25 it was a real bargain, and so that was added to my list of purchases.

Taking my time, I headed towards the Control Tower stage where the Rock n Roll is mainly played. Also around that location were the vintage cars on display.

I fell in love with two or three of them and I have to admit, I would love to have a ride in one.

Settling for some photographs, I posed and prettied before the camera making sure to get good angles of both myself AND the cars.

I took a slow walk around the rest of the stalls, making sure not to overdo it and managed to catch up with many friends from the vintage community and it made my heart sing.

After all that I was a little tired so headed back to the main arena to watch some more amazing bands.

On the way, I changed my outfit for an evening gown.

This time it was a black velvet Chinese style gown with silver embroidered stars. I added a silver star headpiece, some black 1930’s shoes and a little black evening bag.

I was very excited to listen to the headliner; Roy G Hemmings who has performed before on the main stage.

He has a long history on the Motown scene and although this is a little later than a lot of the vintage music and fashions at the event, it is always guaranteed to get people up dancing.

It was absolutely spectacular and such good fun to see everyone grooving and singing along, regardless of their preferred ‘era’.

Once Roy had finished his set, the main arena cleared out as he was the final act. I headed up to the Century Club to see the end of the open mic session and the Cockney sing-a-long.

I was not disappointed; hordes of people singing, dancing and making merry. The joining of absolute strangers, arms linked as they sang old time songs was so good to watch.

After this had ended, I walk across to the area where Le Monde Electrique is situated. This is an outdoors area amongst the trees and is decorated with huge Chinese lanterns.

The bands that play there are very much the new wave of jazz and swing. Think of modern songs done with a jazz twist and you are there. Post Modern Jukebox and Caro Emerald are probably the bands I can think of that would describe the vibe.

People pogoing up and down in time to the music whilst bands are dancing around on the stage, with their own grooves. It is a funky, cool and very unique kind of place and I loved it.

Sadly it was time to head home for a few hours sleep before coming back again for the last day.
