For the past 5 or 6 months, I have been getting my hair regularly trimmed at C and C Hair and Beauty by Jello.
I started going there as it was directly opposite the office and meant it was infinitely convenient and certainly easier for me with their extended opening hours and Sunday working.
Before….
I had my hair cut back in November into a completely different style and absolutely loved it.
There was a whole blog post about it, but if you missed it, you can read it here.
Anyway, I popped in on Friday for a wash, cut and blow dry and came out with a completely different style again!
So, why is this blog titled Betty and Sybil?
Well, I absolutely loved the new look and thought it was pretty funky and it reminded me of a cross between Betty Boothroyd and Sybil from Fawlty Towers!
For those of you who can’t remember what they looked like, think immaculately dressed, with elegantly coiffured hair, classy jewellery and a nice court shoe.
Basically just what I aspire to dress like, although my clothing tends to be a little earlier in style but hopefully has the same timeless look of easy elegance.
So, what exactly had I undergone at the hairdressers?
…After
Well all I did was sit in the chair and to tell Jello to do whatever he wanted, without losing all the length.
Firstly I was ushered over to the massage wash chair, where I was treated to a shiatsu back and neck massage whilst having my hair washed, conditioned and a treatment put onto it.
The salon assistant gave me a lovely deep head massage too which relaxed me completely, which given a really difficult week for personal reasons, I desperately needed.
Being shown over to Jello’s chair, he snipped and cut, cut and snipped before getting the hairdryer and blow drying what was left of my hair with a large radial brush.
Then he brushed and twisted it, whilst hitting the cold setting to blast some hold into the roots.
A spritz of holding spray and I was all done!
I had taken my make-up with me, so put my face on and left looking AND feeling like a completely new woman!
