You may remember back in the late Autumn several reviews I did for a lovely lady called Mandy who runs a small business called Retro peaches.
She had done a collab with fast fashion group Shein and come out with a range of dresses that were both standard size and plus size.
I purchased four of her designs which were all based on leopard print and/or dark green. Three of my choices were velvet and one was a standard polycotton.
Since then I have got a lot of wear out of those dresses and hopes that she would do another collab with them.
Well, my prayers have been answered and they have just released a set of clothing with a totally tropical vibe!
As soon as I saw this on social media, I had to go along and try and hunt them down as initially it was showing as a USA/Canada release. This makes sense as I know Retro peaches is based in Canada.
My bestie Boo messaged me and asked if I had seen the items and sent a couple of links.
Well, my brain obviously wasn’t working that early in the morning as I instant commented that if she was going to order anything, could we joint order to save on postage from the USA.
Thankfully she pointed out that the links were UK ones and I could merrily order my own items.
So, what exactly did I order?
There were five new releases, in a choice of two print ways; a dark green jungle feel and a bright Hawaiian tiki vibe.
Although I loved them all, one dress didn’t blow me away as much as the others so I decided to go with four of them and see how I got on.
The first one I chose was the one that I had seen on social media; the tropical print one shoulder ruffle trim dress. This was the dark green print and I loved the tiki style drape over one shoulder.
Priced at £30.99, it was a pretty great price for such a pretty dress however with the standard Shein discounts it came down to a perfect £23.52.

Available in size 16 – 24, I ordered the largest size and am hoping for the best!
This was the first of the brighter summery colour outfits and a little out of my comfort zone.
The skirt is completely fine however the crop top may not cover everything that I need to have covered. I don’t think that will be the fault of either Retro peaches or Shein, there is just an awful lot to cover!

Priced at £29.99, the final price after discount came to £22.80.
Now, I do have the advantage of being able to throw on a complimenting colour vest top or one of my bodysuits and dispense with the crop top altogether.
My third choice was also a little bit ‘out there’.
I love a good Tiki style dress. I have around 5 or 6 of them and I wear them a lot. Most have a little matching jacket, which helps to cover up the flabby arms.
This dress doesn’t come with a jacket, however it has a wonderful drape and the colours are so bright and summery.
Tropical Print One Shoulder Dress
The fitted dress is very similar to all my other Tiki dresses, but the price is completely different.
Initially priced at £22.49, after the discount it came down to the brilliant price of £17.10.
Now all I need is for the dresses to arrive and give them a whirl. I do have a little bit of a worry that they may not fit me, especially because I really love them all!
