If you read my most recent post you will know that a combination of a knee replacement, a new highly contagious bout of flu and pleurisy meant my Christmas was a bit of a bust.

My wonderful Christmas dresses, shoes and accessories (think beret, earrings and brooches) were consigned to the “not this year” box as I was pretty much bedbound for some of it, and recuperating for the rest of it.

Christmas Style

Over the past year I had been building up my festive wardrobe, buying items in the New Year sales to be put away for next Christmas.

Part of the issue with doing that, is when the next 11 months have passed, I have to try and remember exactly where I had put the items I had purchased!

Some of these were much easier than others; shoe boxes are infinitely easy to locate than a couple of pairs of earrings.

Christmas 2023

Anyway, over the past couple of years I had managed to build up quite a large festive wardrobe. I look forward to the start of December when I can begin to introduce small festive tastes slowly.

A pair of earrings one day, a brooch the next, until getting right up to the last week before Christmas when it is full on hats, dresses, shoes, bags and jewellery.

After I had my knee replacement and was signed off for multiple weeks, I knew that I wouldn’t be digging through my winter wardrobe for my festive looks.

However, that didn’t stop me from amassing even more items!

So, what exactly did I purchase?

Prior to Christmas I saw the most beautiful pair of shoes from Hot Chocolate Designs/Chocolaticas.

Lady V London Look

Green heels with red berries, ribbons, ankle straps and bows, I absolutely fell in love with them and stupidly ummed and ahhed about getting them.

By the time I was ready to order them from their direct website, they were sold out.

GUTTED!

Jewellery From Croatia

That didn’t deter me and I started looking online for a pair. I tried multiple stores and even Vinted in the vain hope that I might find a pair.

I then hit upon the motherlode. Must Wear Designs.

Not only did I find my shoe of dreams, they also had some of the previous years designs at severely reduced prices.

Well, I could hardly turn that down, could I?

All in all, I put four pairs of shoes into my basket. Three were Christmas styles and one was a fabulous patent red telephone design heel.

Now, I have to say, this particular shoe company designs are quite unusual.

Many pairs are designed with the right foot being totally different to the left foot.

Festive Feeling

If that doesn’t make too much sense, I bought a pair of Christmas shoes which I reviewed back in 2023.

Now, as I previously mentioned, one pair wasn’t Christmas themed so I plan on reviewing them separately.

So, the first of my purchases is beautifully named “President of the Christmas Decorating Committee”

Beautiful Baubles

Vintage in styling, with old fashioned baubles, glitter encrusted heels and real silver tinsel, I simply couldn’t resist.

One heel is sparkly green, the other a glittery red.

Sparkle and Shine

These shoes were from a previous release (possibly 2022/2023) so were down to an amazing £25 instead of the usual price of £93.99

They still have some pairs available, but very few in size.

Terrific Tinsel

Popping those in my basket I moved onto another Christmas pair; Betty Claus.

Now, I had seen these shoes worn by a fellow rock n roll aficionado at a gig in December 2023. I instantly liked them but at the time didn’t have the £79.50 to splash out on them.

Pin Up Perfect

Now they were only £30 and luckily they had a pair in my size.

These shoes are a little ‘naughty’ in design.

Wonderful Wedges

Add to it a red and white candy cane striped 2.2 inch wedge, overlaid with black fishnet material, they were quite different to anything else I had ever purchased.

I also loved the fact that the red and white bows with little white pompoms can be removed for a different look.

Cheeky Christmas

The shoes were a beautiful baby pink with red and black designs, including a pair of high heels, holly and peppermint candies.

I haven’t got an outfit in mind for these shoes, but I think even a pair of vintage style jeans and a cute kitsch t-shirt would work extremely well.

Festive Fun

The last pair of shoes I ordered were of course, the green berry bedecked shoes that I initially wanted; Christmas Eve.

Priced at £93.99, I thought they were worth every single penny.

Christmas Dreams Come True

A gorgeous berry irregular shaped ankle strap ties up at the back with double green satin ribbon. A red ribbon bow adorns the front and the satin material is printed with berries and pinecones.

The ankle strap can be removed to give you different style options, which I love about this brand.

Holiday Heels

I put all four pairs into my basket and checked out quickly.

Only a few days later a huge box was delivered.

Beautiful Bows

To say I was excited was a bit of an understatement. I eagerly opened the box and started taking out the individual shoe boxes, which are all beautifully decorated.

All of the Christmas designs were absolutely stunning.

What a Christmas Present!

Of course, the green heels are my absolutely favourite, but I can’t wait to wear the others too.

Now, I would like to say that these were the only Christmas items I purchased, but of course, there was the January Sales still to be had!
